I find that biographies are hit or miss for me. Many times, I feel that people try to make their life more interesting or show how wonderful they are and these come across sounding fake and not intimate at all. I did not get that sense with this biography. I felt that you could really hear Marilyn's voice throughout the book. Some parts were repetitive, others were maybe glossed over a bit, but the whole time it felt like you were hearing Marilyn, not a PR person, editor, or author. Because of
