Interpretation To Books Blackmoore

Kate Worthington knows her heart and she knows she will never marry. Her plan is to travel to India instead—if only to find peace for her restless spirit and to escape the family she abhors. But Kate’s meddlesome mother has other plans. She makes a bargain with Kate: India, yes, but only after Kate has secured—and rejected—three marriage proposals. Kate journeys to the stately manor of Blackmoore determined to fulfill her end of the bargain and enlists the help of her dearest childhood friend, Henry Delafield. But when it comes to matters of love, bargains are meaningless and plans are changeable. There on the wild lands of Blackmoore, Kate must face the truth that has kept her heart captive. Will the proposal she is determined to reject actually be the one thing that will set her heart free? Set in Northern England in 1820, Blackmoore is a Regency romance that tells the story of a young woman struggling to learn how to follow her heart. It is Wuthering Heights meets Little Women with a delicious must-read twist.

I'm just really emotional right now

Review written September 10, 20164.8 Stars - Absolutely perfect, thoughtful and grandly romantic. A novel to love.I listened to the 9:51 hrs audiobook narrated by Cassandra Campbell. Bought by impulse and chance on a $6 sale. There are a lot of happy reviews for this "clean" Regency historical (m/f) and I crossed my finger. Oh yes, this was delicate, beautifully told, utterly well narrated and a spellbinding audiobook adventure. Simply great. **********************************************

Maybe 2.5. I liked the author's other book, but this book seemed one-note. I didn't find the heroine's motivations believable, characters were cliche, and the writing... hmmm. I did keep reading so that's something but mainly because it was a fast read and I wanted to see if what I thought would happen did. I know it's a "dessert" read, but even junk food needs to be tasty - this book felt like saving all of your daily calories for a decadent dessert only to find the dessert is a piece of

I'm not sure I really felt anything for this book...I didn't connect with the main character and quite disliked her for the majority of the book; Kate is quite a silly, selfish little girl. She annoyed me the most in that she was both selfless and selfish all at once. But perhaps it's no wonder she's a brat, having a slaggy and conspiring mother and a slaggy and disgraced sister.Although that is one of the strengths of this book - it is slowly revealed why Kate is as she is, and she does grow as

Oh. My. Gosh. This was absolutely amazing. I finished Edenbrooke two days ago and loved it so much that I had to read another of this Authors books immediately. I am quite frankly obsessed. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time throughout the story. Feelings of love and frustration bubbling up inside me the whole time. I love Kate and Henry so so much. This book is going straight onto my favorites list. Thank you Julianne Donaldson for writing such amazing love stories! I cannot get

You know those rare books that you keep glancing at the page number as you read, wishing it would magically stop increasing so that the story would never end? BLACKMOORE is one of those. Delightful. Consuming. Altogether a keeper on my shelf that Ill pull down to read every few years or so because its just that good.At first I wasnt sure I liked the way the story jumped between past and present. It seemed a bit disjointed. But after I got used to it, and as the story developed, I could see how

Like a dancing crystal in the sunlight with it's many angles of clear and dark, catching a ray of light to a dance of many colors. Julianne Donaldson create such a fascinating tale with Blackmoore with it's pure tale of love and heartache, a play on dark and light, catching that happiness to shine color on the reader with it's story. Blackmoore introduced such an heartfelt and true heroine in Kate Worthington. She sometimes acted her age but carried an old soul with sad, jaded, eyes. Kate has
