Narration In Pursuance Of Books Graystripe's Adventure (Warriors Manga: Graystripe's Trilogy #1-3)
Originally published as three b/w manga volumes, this full-color collection tells the complete story of Graystripe's capture by the "twolegs", his life as a "kittypet", and his romance with Millie, who makes the decision to join in his attempt to escape back to his beloved Thunderclan.Erin Hunter's world of feral cats is fun, and it has a an interesting level of depth, especially around the mythology the cats have developed, and those mythological elements play an important role in this epic journey.
There are plenty of encounters and dangers along the way, and the romantic elements between Millie and Graystripe are handled with only the occasional slip too deep into romantic trope territory.
The real strength of the story is Graystripe's internal conflict as he battles his doubts and fears that his time living with humans has somehow altered him so much that he may not be able to regain his warrior nature.
This conflict takes center stage as he is forced to decide whether he can possibly compromise his beliefs that all contact with anything to do with humans must be avoided.
This is an excellent heroic journey with character who experience many stumbles, but find a way to follow their quest to its end.
James L. Barry's artwork is excellent, and the vivid use of color brings the story to life in ways that weren't possible in the black-and-white manga version.
Lovely book and an engaging and satisfying story.

It was okay. The only reason I'm rating it so high is cuz this is the 1st graphic novel I've read in the warriors saga, however, graystripe just didn't seem like himself. He wasn't silly and light hearted we know graystripe to be. He was too angry. I'm reading ravenpaws path now so hopefully it's better.I read the 3 in 1 graphic novel edition. A beautiful fantasy story that shows kids the difference between domestic cats and wild cats - the difference between compliance and freedom. Such a sweet and sometimes sad story that shows that life is an adventure and family (clan) along with a sense of self is very important. My only complaint is that some of the speech bubbles seemed out of order or hard to determine which to read first on the page which would be an issue for younger readers. All in
I liked it.

Very cute! Graystripe is so angsty and I like Millie. Makes me want to read the books in the series.
Really good!I liked that finally we get to see what Graystripe looks like! I also like Millie, but Diesels got my vote. I disliked how fast everything went. In the books Graystripe acted more hungry. But in this he seemed plump I recommend this book to cat lovers ages 9+. Great work Erin Hunter!
i love it
My sister and I used to read the Warrior books to encourage our nephews to read. One of my nephews was more visual, so I was delighted to see Graystripe's Adventure come out in a graphic novel. Graystripe is one of my favorite warrior cats; a noble and true friend to the clan leader Firestar! For parents there is some violence (warrior cats are fighting cats), and some romance that parents may want to explain to their children while reading.
