I'm hooked on this series. Events continue to unfold, the Beast is actively taunting Kate and Weston but indirectly. This was another great story in this series. It's always something of a surprise to me that I like these books as I'm no sci-fi fan in the least. However, for me, they stay just this side of believability enough for me to like them as much as I do.This one features the same characters as book one so you really do need to have read that first as they're on a continuation of their quest to find a killer. He's always just a step ahead of them, though.I'll definitely be reading book 3.An aggravation
Wow! Another thrilling and wonderfully suspenseful story. I was hooked on the first book after reading the first page and the same can be said for this book in the series. While reading I felt I was right there with the characters as if watching a movie. The dynamic of the trio of Kate, Noah, and Chris really gel well; like pieces to a puzzle that just fit. Ive read a few thrillers this year that were written by authors with derivative writing styles and lacking the finesse that Edward Fallon
I received this book free in exchange for an honest review Trail of the Beast picks up right where the first book (Dying is a Wild Night) left off and jumps right into the action. We find Weston, Kate, and Christopher stranded in a small Alabama town where The Beast may have been recently. Trail of the Beast is less of a whodunit (as Dying is a Wild Night was) and is more of an action/suspense, but I found it an equally satisfying book. Its action packed and fast paced. Happily, the publisher is releasing five volumes simultaneously on July 1, so those of us with a tendency to binge-read series have a lot to be happy about.
