Appraise Regarding Books Elektra

One of the worst plays I have ever read. Boring, too short and lacking any semblance of characterisation. This was made worse by the introduction of the 1980's film production which was odd and disturbing. The ending was weak, made almost no sense and I was thoroughly disappointed as I am usually a fan of tragedies with a female protagonist such as Antigone and Iphegina. Also, I had to wait 2 weeks for my copy of the text to arrive. A book which I definitely will not read again.

The language was incredibly riveting, and the expressionist prose very dramatic.

Schon eindrucksvoll, die durchgeknallte Elektra, aber wohl auch etwas übertrieben. Würds aber trotzdem gerne mal aufgeführt sehen. Mit Helena Bonham Carter als Elektra.
