Wow!! I picked this book on a whim - it was a free download after all.I'm not sure where to begin there were so many things I liked about this book. It is very well written and so engaging! The story was compelling and so were the characters. I do not want to give anything away but I do feel that I should mention that this is a two-part book and it was a little confusing for about the first 2-3 chapters of part two then there is an Ah, Ha! moment when you realize what happened and it all beginsI give this book a solid 4 stars for several reasons, even though I am having some mixed feelings about it. I really haven't been this conflicted about a book in a long while, despite my overall positive feelings about this book. Let me elaborate. There are only 2 classical literature style novels that stand out in my head as exemplary; Queen of Hearts by Anita Shreve, and this one Vivienne: Lost and Found by S.M. The story is interesting and a like a breath of fresh air among contemporary vampire literature that paint an overly romantic picture of vampires, without much emphasis on the dark and fatal aspect of the creatures. Despite a great story for a backbone, I think the implementation and the writing of it falls short and has a hollow feel to it.
