Okay so.... I read the first edition, granted. But there were WAY too many errors for this to have even been published. Sentences were lacking punctuation, words, and direction. The story was hard to read this way. Also, Edgar came off to me as a gay abusive father rather than a soul mate. He treated her like a kid the whole time. She did act childish at times, but mostly she acted stupid and bipolar. I grew tired of the constantly changing emotions between both characters. For example, herI don't know if it was just my copy, but the editing in this book was awful. So many times I was completely jarred due to incorrect spelling, grammar, or word usage. Besides that, what could have been a good plot was completely destroyed by the "perfect love" between the protagonist and her love interest. It was actually sickening. Still, I somehow finished the book and even read the second one...which, believe it or not, was even worse. I'm only giving this two stars because the premise behind
I actually spent the last two minutes trying to remember what it was this book was called, and the author and everything, because my brain is already trying to forget it. I thought the premise to how the first half of the novel was set up was genius, the absence of emotion and ability, the destructive explosion of the two magnets, the background....and then the culmination of the lead-up was just so entirely lacking. But Edgar, like most centuries old characters, gave me hope to hang on even

While I am aware this is a self published title, so errors were to be expected, I really thought having it edited a few more times would have been much better. The story in itself was alright, it wasn't too original, what with the soulmates and all. I did like the positive/negative metaphor of there relationship. Edgar was very odd at times, and I got the feeling toward the end that Sam was coming onto her....I don't know, i also liked the changing into ravens part, but alas that is not as
I thought that this book would be a gothic version of Twlight, but was sadly mistaken. This book pales in comparisson to the work Stephenie Meyer has done. In fact, I found this book this book very unlikable. I didn't not like this book because of its lack of similarities to Twlight, but the way this book and the characters were written. To Twlight fans, there is a slight similarity to Twlight because Edgar is young looking but actually really old, like Edward, but in no way does this hold a
The premiss of the story was good and had the makings for a really good book. I just felt as though the relationships were rushed. That was my biggest complaint with the book - just too rushed, not enough development or at least believable development. The book ended on a sad note and I am hoping for a 'happily ever after' for the characters - isn't that what every girl wants? :o)
This was one of the best books I've ever read. I hate the whole reincarnation thing but here its perfect! Like in Evermore, or Immortal (actually this book was fantastic)! I absolutely adored it! It was amazing it was a little too detailed for my taste, but that's probably just because if I don't see romance within the first page I'm done! But I gave this book a chance and it was probably literally the best decision of my life!Immortal
