Wow, what a perfect set up for the Left Behind series! All of the major players are firmly in place and with such clarity! Hindsight is 20/20, they say. For those new to the series, it is definitely a good idea to start with the Before They Were Left Behind trilogy. This third book was also read by the very incredible Richard Ferrone (Recorded Books, Inc.), who goes on to narrate all but two of the 13 Left Behind audiobooks. What I found especially wonderful about this book was that the

This book mostly focused on Irene and Raymie. Before the rapture and their life in heaven after the rapture. The events in this book go no further than the rapture. The book does not focus much on those left behind than those who were raptured. Nicolae's rise to the presidency is also covered early in this book. The book also puts into perspective what Heaven will be like.

This is another series with the Left Behind series although it is only 3 books in this series. It focuses on the beginnings of Nicholae and his early years before he comes into the Left Behind (12 book series) I guess a pre-quel to the Left Behind although it was written afterwards.

I've read this series before, and when I was a teenager I thought they were good. Now, theological issues aside, I've realized that all the good characters read like they're 60 year old men, (even if they're female or 12) and all the bad characters are bafoons. Unless they become good. Then they turn into 60 year old men (*COUGH* Hattie)

I wouldn't say this one is my favorite, but it is up there. I have officially been reading this series for over a year and I'm still as, if not more, into it than the first day.
