3,5*I liked the first one better đŸ˜¬Cheesy but I loved it!!
I liked it more than the first one, but my big problem with these series is that none of the characters are remotely likable, so its hard to care about them. Blair is selfish and bratty, Dan is mopey, Nate...(ugh, what does anyone see in that stoner?)...Serena is emotionally detached, Jenny has no personality or identifying characteristics other than huge boobs, etc. Yet somehow the books are compelling.
Lifestyles of the rich and shameless should be full of partying and good times, but Serena, Blair, Nate, and the not so rich Dan, Jenny, and Vanessa are anything but. Sure, good times are had, but drama is the main course on the menu. Dan is stalkerishly in love with Serena, while shes just looking for some friends. Nate and Blair are growing further apart with every passing minute as Nates eye begins to wander toJenny? And Vanessa is still hopelessly in love with the ever unaware Dan. Someone

The characters in this were the same as the last one. I didn't love them, and there were quite a few times where they annoyed me. This wasn't a brilliant read, but it was better than the first one.
This series is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Who can resist the lives of Manhattan's Elite? In all seriousness, for the age demographic that this is written for, and the information placed throughout the novel, its definitely a hit.Much like I was when I read the first one again after years passing since my first experience with it, I was taken up with the lives of the main characters and instantly drawn in.
