Excellent book, but not one of my favorites, just a bit slow to read. If you don't mind that, it is very well done. By a bit slow, I mean it didn't grab me and make me forget the time and meals. smiles. So it took a while to read. Have not checked against history books but feel like the history is all there and accurate. The characters where very interested in the news of the war. They felt like real people. I just didn't identify with any of them. Think that people who like historical novels will love this one. This book is definitely not a Romance novel, if you are looking for such. It has romance in it, but it is more about the Civil War and the siege of Vicksburg.Details Containing Books A Hundred Hills
